DAVAO - KIDAPAWAN MT. APO - TAGUM JOURNEY




April 25 - May 03, 2009 - Location: North Cotabato, Davao Del Norte.

This is the timeline of our nine (9) days escapade far down the archipelago. We travelled between North Cotabato and Davao Del Norte. If you have time, reach out to the captions of each photo.

An adventure of diverse emotions but nevertheless it captured the essence of bonding, patience, friendship, teamwork, hardships, fatigue and success.

The image above Davao International Airport was April 25, 2009 (Saturday)  Our flight from Manila was delayed for more than 4 hours, all we can do is sit and wait. Touchdown was around 4:00 PM.  Enjoy the rest of the images below.


Hanging Bridge - April 26, 2009 (Sunday)- We are on our way to Bongolanon, Magpet Jump-off Point but our transport was harrassed with some obstacles on the road so we need to walk for a few meters.


Tawsuvan Falls - (April 26, 2009) Sunday -   Around 11 AM, we arrived at the jump-off point of the Bongolanon Rainforest trail. We need to secure our IDs here. The place is clean and well-maintained, you can swim before heading to the forest. We ate our lunch while waiting for the tourism officer.



Forest - April 27, 2009 (Monday) - All forest in the trail.



View from the Woods - April 27, 2009 (Monday) - This is the entrance coming the trail of Bobong Campsite. The peak is now visible, this is downhill approach going to Lake Venado.



Clouds down the Jordan Lake - April 28, 2009 (Tuesday) - It was a sunny and cloudy day at the summit camp. You can see down the clouds atop Jordan Lake.



Dead Lake - April 28, 2009 (Tuesday) - Before heading down, we stroll around the summit camp and reach the Dead Lake, just a few meters down the peak.  As you can see, water is in the basin which resulted from the hard rain last night.



Kapatagan Area - April 28, 2009 (Tuesday) - When coulds are drifting away, you can eventually see the Kapatagan side of Mt.Apo. This is sometimes called, "Rockies".



Lake Venado from the Top - April 28, 2009 (Tuesday) - At 11 AM, we departed the summit camp and now heading to Lake Venado again. As you can see, Venado is visible from the top.




Night Trekking is not Allowed - April 28, 2009 (Tuesday) - A sign of guidance.
